James A. Hall III

James A. Hall III joined the Fellows of the Casualty Actuarial Society as its youngest member in 1973.

He was an active Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) volunteer, beginning in 1974 as a member of the Examination Committee. His CAS activities covered a wide range of his interests, including education, research and development, and community outreach. He served as chair of the International Relations Committee (1993-1995) and the University Relations Committee (2005-2007). His most recent CAS activities were serving as a member of the CAS Trust Scholarship Subcommittee, Member Advisory Panel, ERM Committee, and the Climate Change Committee, and as a University Liaison

He founded Coopers and Lybrand Actuarial Group, Hallmark Actuarial Consulting, and International Actuarial Services. Over 35 years of distinguished actuarial practice in all branches of the property and casualty insurance business. Mostly as a consulting actuary.
